R.E.P.O. Console Commands, Mods & Cheats

R.E.P.O. ships with only two official console commands. Everything else — extra commands, difficulty tweaks, cheats — lives in the modding ecosystem. This guide covers every option, from safe to experimental.

Quick Answer

R.E.P.O. has only two official console commands — /greenscreen and /cinematic — both designed for content creators. They only work in multiplayer chat. For more functionality (extra commands, gameplay cheats, quality-of-life tweaks), install mods via Thunderstore Mod Manager or use a trainer like WeMod. Keep cheats and heavy mods to private lobbies with friends to avoid being kicked.

Official R.E.P.O. Console Commands

As of the current game version, Semiwork has released only two built-in chat commands. Neither changes gameplay — both are content-creation utilities.

/greenscreen

Greenscreen

Spawns a large green screen on the floor and in front of your character. Useful for content creators who want to chroma-key footage in post-production.

/cinematic

Cinematic

Hides the entire HUD (health, stamina, inventory, etc.) for clean screenshots or cinematic video captures. Re-enter the command to toggle it back.

How to Use Console Commands

Commands run through the in-game chat. Four steps:

1

Start a multiplayer run

Commands only work in multiplayer mode. You cannot use them in single-player sessions.

2

Find a safe spot

You cannot move while typing in chat, so pick a location with no monsters nearby.

3

Open chat with T

Press the T key to bring up the in-game chat window.

4

Type the command

Type / followed by the command name (for example /greenscreen) and press Enter. Re-enter the same command to toggle it off.

Best R.E.P.O. Mods

Mods unlock almost everything the base game does not: extra commands, higher player caps, harder difficulties, UI improvements. These are the highest-rated picks from Thunderstore:

More Players

by zelofi

Raises the 6-player lobby cap. Invite 20 or 30 friends and run chaotic mega-lobbies. Probably the most popular mod in the community.

MoreCommands

by DiabolicalStudios

Adds dozens of extra chat commands for moderation, teleports, item spawning, and debug utilities — the go-to pack for streamers and modded lobbies.

REPO Enhanced

by DCaedus

Quality-of-life bundle: improved HUD, smoother physics tweaks, better inventory management. Pairs well with most other mods.

ExtractionPointConfirmButton

by Community

Adds a manual confirm button to extraction points so teammates cannot accidentally start the extraction before everyone is ready.

MoreDifficultyREPO

by Community

Adds new difficulty tiers above and below the defaults, including a custom configurable difficulty for veteran squads.

The Ultimate REPO ModPack (75 Mods)

by SilentPacks

A curated pack of 75 tested-together mods. If you want a modded REPO experience without vetting individual mods, this is the fastest starting point.

How to Install R.E.P.O. Mods (Thunderstore)

  1. Install the Overwolf desktop client from overwolf.com
  2. Inside Overwolf, install Thunderstore Mod Manager
  3. Open Thunderstore → search "R.E.P.O." → click the game
  4. Go to the "Get mods" tab, search a mod, click Download
  5. Click the "Modded" launch button at the top to start the game with mods enabled

Tip: You can toggle any installed mod on or off from the "My Mods" tab — no reinstall needed.

R.E.P.O. Cheats & Trainers

For single-player cheats (God Mode, infinite money, noclip), you need a trainer or cheat engine. Use these only in solo runs or private lobbies — they can break public games.

WeMod

Most popular trainer with 16 cheats including No Damage, Infinite Energy, Invisibility, and Super Grab. One-click installer, actively maintained. Free tier available.

FearLess Cheat Engine Table

Community-built Cheat Engine table. Advanced users can toggle god mode, infinite stamina, and item-related cheats. Requires Cheat Engine installed.

REPO Infinite Health (Thunderstore)

A focused Thunderstore mod that simply gives infinite health. Installs through Thunderstore Mod Manager like any other mod — easiest entry point if you only want one effect.

PLITCH

Subscription-based cheat platform with Godmode, unlimited money, and resource management options. Alternative to WeMod with a different UI.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use console commands in single-player?

No. R.E.P.O. only activates the chat and /command system in multiplayer lobbies. If you want cheat-like effects in single-player, use a mod (through Thunderstore) or a trainer (such as WeMod).

Will using commands, mods, or cheats get me banned?

The two official commands (/greenscreen, /cinematic) are developer-sanctioned and safe. Mods and trainers are not officially supported; use them only in private lobbies with friends. Joining public lobbies with game-breaking mods can get you kicked by the host or other players.

How do I install R.E.P.O. mods?

The standard route is Thunderstore Mod Manager (via the Overwolf client). Install Overwolf → install Thunderstore Mod Manager → search R.E.P.O. → pick mods → hit the "modded" launch button. Each mod can be toggled on or off without reinstalling.

What if mods conflict and the game crashes?

Mod conflicts are common. In Thunderstore Mod Manager, open the "My Mods" tab and disable mods one at a time to find the culprit. Start with older or less-popular mods, since those are most likely to lag behind major game updates.

Do all players need the same mods in multiplayer?

Yes for gameplay-changing mods (More Players, MoreDifficultyREPO, etc.). If the host and clients run different versions, the host cannot start the lobby or players cannot join. Visual-only mods (HUD tweaks) usually work independently.

Will more official commands be added?

The developers (Semiwork) have mentioned more commands could arrive in future updates, but no roadmap has been published. Until then, the MoreCommands mod is the best way to access an expanded command set.

How do I turn off a command I activated?

Open chat (T) and type the same command again — the effect toggles off. If for any reason the toggle is stuck, restarting the game resets every command back to default.
